WEB BRIEFING ON 211
Tim Sullivan, Washington Information Network 211 and Penni Belcher, 211 Director for United Way of Piece County, will be conducting a 60 minute webinar on 211 at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6.  This will be a great opportunity to learn the latest about the 211 system, its plans and challenges.  PLEASE SHARE THIS INVITATION with United Way staff, board members and volunteers and your partner agencies.  UWPNW has included the preservation and enhancement of 211 in its 2018-19 legislative agenda. Here's the link to the webinar. 

WASHINGTON UNITED WAY CEO'S ADOPT LEGISLATIVE AGENDA
The United Way Washington executive discussed these specific objectives for 2018 legislative session at the November 9 policy advocacy session. Based on these conversations, the Washington Policy Steering Committee has recommended this as the 2018 legislative policy agenda. Executives will vote to confirm it this week.[Add link]
MARK CALENDAR FOR FEB. 1 UNITED WAY'S HOUSING AND HOMELESS ADVOCACY DAY
Along with our 211 partners, we are participating with the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance on their legislative advocacy day on February 1. This lobby day will include meetings with legislators and an evening sponsored reception at the Governor’s Mansion.  More later.
STATE REVENUE FORECAST INCREASED
The Washington State Economic and Revenue Forecast issued its November update to its forecast with an increase to the two-year revenue picture by over $300 million. The level of forecast uncertainty remains elevated.  Here's the press release.
