The United Ways of Washington have endorsed a legislative framework for the 2019 Legislative Session which focuses on four issues that strengthen communities, advance the common good and improve lives.
Washington Low Income Housing Alliance announces 2019 Legislative Agenda
The Washington Low Income Housing Alliance, which consists of nearly 100 organizations including housing authorities, community action programs, and land trusts, have announced their 2019 legislative priorities. Consistent with a housing item on the United Ways of Washington agenda, the Housing Alliance calls for increased investment in the Housing Trust Fund and more focus on increasing affordable housing. United Ways of Washington Advocacy Day will be February 28
Please save the date for the 2019 advocacy day in Olympia. The United Ways of Washington will participate in the Washington Low-Income Housing Alliance's Housing Action Day. However, in the afternoon, we will strike out on her own to talk with legislators and staff about our other priorities. More details next month.
