Join us for a day of civic engagement and learn how to mobilize community members to engage in the democratic process, increase the number of voter registrants and create a platform for individuals to elevate their voices this 2016 election and beyond.

Voting is a driving factor towards positive change and our community members have the ability to play a powerful role in the decisions that affect the quality of life where we live and work and improve the lives of thousands.

Professional Development

United Way and YWCA/Job Corps invite you to participate in an interview and resume workshop. The skills our students practice today will give them the tools they need to succeed in the next steps of their lives. Your guidance, feedback, and presence will help build the foundation that will set students on a path to sustainable and fulfilling employment.

Los Angeles Job Corps Center is a funded partner of United Way, supporting our mission to ensure the financial stability of individuals and families. The YWCA Job Corps works to educate eligible young people with skills needed to become employable and independent by placing them in meaningful jobs or furthering their education.

High School Beautification

Join us in supporting high school students by participating in a site beautification project to enhance the East LA Performing Arts Magnet learning campus.

The East LA Performing Arts Magnet is a Linked Learning school supported by United Way. Linked Learning is an educational approach that integrates rigorous academics with real-world workplace experiences, helping students graduate prepared for college and career.
